Best complex in richmond area . the building is nice but the staff a make the community keep its freshness. everything is kept up well and if it needs to be repaired or replaced staff does it.

My situation may be unique, but after the death of my wife, Susan, in 2024, I was looking for a place where I could focus on healing and friendship while not having to worry about annoying day-to-day issues. Penstock is that place. Between the great friends I have made and the great amenities, esp. the pool and the community spaces, I feel as if I landed in a vacation resort community, and I am free to pursue my own interests while others take care of the responsibilities I once had as a homeowner. I recommend Penstock to everyone.

An amazing walkable community that's seemingly less than a 15 minute drive from everything in Richmond. I love being able to work out anytime right outside my door or go downstairs before working at home to get a delicious breakfast and coffee at the RVA bakery. The complex feels like a luxurious oasis to come home to!

PQ was the perfect transition for me and my pooch coming from the southwest. Everyone is friendly and courteous. The community and the attention to taking care of the property is Bar none. I am very pleased with where we live today.

Penstock is a forever home. I love living here for so many reasons…safe community, always clean inside and out, so many free, quality amenities available for residents, community events, etc. Even the trash rooms smell good! 10/10 recommend to people who are looking to rent.

Truthfully, I’d like to keep it a secret. I have not lived in an apartment home in 20 years this place has everything on my wish list. #1 more than one person in the office at a time. #2 more than one maintenance person, #3 parking (first come first serve.) amenities, friendly residents of all ages who are respectful of others. So much more. Shhhhhh.
